4th of July Pet Safety Tips

July 5th is known as the busiest day at animal shelters. Here are some tips to help keep your fuzzy family members safe on the 4th of July:

  • Loud, crowded fireworks displays are no fun for pets so please keep them at home.
  • Keep animals inside. Secure all GATES, DOORS, and LOCKS.
  • Make sure your pet ID tags are on and microchip info is current.
  • Leave a TV or radio on to drown out the noises that may be going on outside.
  • Be sure to close all doggy doors.
  • Do not leave alcoholic drinks where pets can reach them. It could be fatal.
  • If your pet gets scared easily, consider staying at home.
