ABOUT WE CAN

Hyannis Expansion

In 2022 we embarked upon a strategic planning process. One of our primary goals was to increase access for women in the mid-Cape area who face a complex set of challenges to live, work and raise their families.

In March 2023, we made significant progress toward this goal by opening a WE CAN program site at 127 Airport Rd. in Hyannis. Over the past year, we’ve witnesses the flourishing of a diverse community of women.

Following are a few key statistics for 2023:

  • We served nearly 1,700 women, representing an 8% increase in total number of women served.
  • There has been a 20% increase in attendance to our programs.
  • We partnered with 277 volunteers to offer 915 one-to-one consultations and 25 workshops and group programs.

WE CAN is able to provide this critical programming because of our volunteers. Individuals volunteer their talents and services to our small organization to make a genuine difference in the lives of Cape women. Last year, 277 WE CAN volunteers committed over 8,000 hours!
