Dear Camp Families,

Thanks to all the families who joined us last night for our online webinar to prepare you and your child for the camp season. If you weren't able to join us or would like to review the webinar, click here for the recording . And remember, we are both available by phone or email with any last minute questions.

As a friendly reminder, required camp forms are due on June 1st. That gives our directors and health center staff enough time to review each form and contact families with any questions.

In the "forms and documents" section of your CampMinder account is the 2019 Family Handbook. It is a great resource with lots of helpful information including technology policy, what to wear and what not to wear, how to send mail to your child and more.

The camp office officially moves from Philadelphia to camp next week. Our seasonal directors move in by June 1st then we start our preseason trainings for waterfront and ropes course staff on June 8th. All of our staff will be at camp by June 13th for 10 days of staff training development.

The countdown is on. Just 1 month from today until the camp season begins. We are looking forward to seeing everyone soon.

Warm regards,

Brooke and Steven
Camper Medications
The Camper Medication Letter is available in your CampMinder account or by  clicking here   . We partner with The Medicine Shoppe pharmacy in nearby Lewiston to provide all camper medications.

If your child will be taking prescription or over-the-counter medication while at camp, you are required to order the medicine through The Medicine Shoppe.

The only fee for using this service is a $1 fee per prescription. Over-the-counter medications are the same price you would pay by walking into the pharmacy for the same purchase. Partnering with The Medicine Shoppe allows us to comply with State, Federal and American Camp Association regulations for the safe dispensing and handling of medication.
Online Photo Gallery & Bunk Notes
Each day during the camp season, we upload hundreds of photos to our password protected photo gallery. It's easy and convenient to register.

• Click "New Here? Get Started?" or, if using the mobile app, click the "Sign Up" link.
• Complete the basic form. The invitation code is - MYSTAR
• You will be prompted to select a bundle to access your parent portal. There is an option with no cost.

By logging into the Bunk1 website or mobile app, you will be able to access the photo gallery as well as send Bunk Notes to your child and receive Bunk Replies from your child. You can find more information about the Bunk1 options in the Family Handbook.
Camper Transportation Form
Campers have the choice of arriving to and departing from camp by plane, charter bus or by your own vehicle. Regardless of your child's mode of transportation, we need every camp family to complete the transportation form. That's the only way we know how your child will be arriving at and departing from camp.

Some buses are starting to fill up. If you haven't completed the form, please submit it promptly so we can reserve your child's spot on the bus.

A reminder if your child is flying to and/or from camp, you must confirm your flights with the camp office before purchasing the tickets. Arrivals at Boston Logan Airport occur the day before the regularly scheduled check-in day. Departures from Boston Logan Airport occur on the regularly scheduled departure day.
Book and Study Club
If your child loves to read, encourage them to bring a book or two with them. There will be time to read each day during down time and before lights out at night. In addition, we will offer a weekly Book Club and Study Club Class as part of the activity options available for every camper.

Book Club is the perfect class for a camper to finish any required summer reading they have assigned to them from school. Or, they may want to take a relaxing class to finish their favorite book. Study Club is a class for campers to work on their summer math or reading packets.

If you want your child to work on any specific school assignments during the camp season, please contact Brooke or Steven in the office so we can monitor their progress and pair them with a staff member who excels in the given subject matter.
Private Tennis Lessons
Campers who choose Tennis as an activity within our elective program will be instructed by our experienced staff of tennis coaches who are current or former NCAA players.

In addition to our regular tennis classes, our coaches offer Private Tennis Lessons. The cost of the lessons are $40 each. You can register your child for as little as one lesson or as many as you choose. Use the additional options form in your CampMinder account to register. Lessons are scheduled on a first-come, first-served basis.

A private tennis lesson doesn't take the place of a regular activity, it's in addition to them. Lessons are scheduled before 1st period, after lunch, during free-time, after dinner or on weekends.
Coach in Residence Program - Basketball
Our team of visiting high school coaches and former NCAA players offer high quality, instructional camp clinics to help campers learn, grow and become better, more well-rounded basketball players—all while having fun!

If your child is serious about basketball, register now for Morning Intensive Clinics offered during Session 2 and 3. The clinics are for campers of all ability levels. Spend the entire morning working with our staff for more individualized instruction and coaching.  To enroll, use the online Coaches in Residence Form in your CampMinder account Click here to access your CampMinder account. The cost for the morning workshop is $125 each session.
Camper Phone Calls
The Phone Call Reservation Form will be available on June 1st in your CampMinder account. Calls are scheduled after the first week of each session. You do not have to schedule a call. Many families prefer to communicate by mail and e-letters only.

There is always a director at the telephone next to your child. Hearing your parents' voice for the first time can be upsetting, and we will be there to comfort your child. Tears last only a matter of seconds after the call — until a friend walks by, your child returns to their regular scheduled activity or they rejoin their cabin. Don't worry, but if you have a real concern, call us.

Remember that you can call our office any time to speak to Brooke, Steven or any of our Directors if you would like to discuss your child or just to see how your child is doing   .
