Friday, May 3rd, is the deadline to register to eat lunch at our End of Year Celebration Lunch



Sunday, May 5th, from 11:30am-1pm is our first annual End of Year Celebration Lunch.

Wednesday, May 15th is the last Wednesday Evening of the semester!

Sunday, May 19th from 1:30-2:30pm, is the parents meeting for those whose children are going to CentriKid.

Join us June 10th-14th for VBS 2024, Breaker Rock Beach!! At Breaker Rock Beach, kids will learn to recognize the difference between what the world says is true and what God says is true. They’ll encounter five everyday sayings that sound right, but dangerously miss the truth found in God’s Word. Each day kids will be challenged to know that God’s truth never changes—even when it’s radically different from what some people say. They’ll discover that God does not want them to be conformed to this age, but to be transformed by the renewing of their minds so that they can discern what is the good, pleasing, and perfect will of God (Romans 12:2).

Thank you to all those who donated, volunteered, and bought items at our Rummage Sale!! The Rummage Sale was a HUGE success. We are able to fully fund camp this summer, kids will get to hear the Gospel and build relationships because of you!

End of Year Celebration Luncheon

Families,

You are invited to our First Annual End of Year Celebration Luncheon on May 5^th immediately following morning worship! This is a time set aside to celebrate together as a family all the Lord has done this school year. We will have food, a craft, group pictures, and gifts for each child from their teachers/the kids ministry. This is a unique chance for you to engage together as a family and for parents to see a little more about what the Kids have done on Sunday’s and Wednesday. I would love for you to be part of this special luncheon! Please RSVP to camille@rbcstaff.com by May 3^rd if you and your family are planning to eat lunch with us! I know this is short notice and is nothing like we have ever done before, but I'm excited to spend this time with our families and make this part of our yearly rhythms in RBC Kids Ministry!

B'ham Barons

Join us for an afternoon with the Birmingham Barons! The game is at 4pm against the Rocket City Trash Pandas (you read that right!). Tickets are $10 person or $40 family max. This is a great family outing and sure to be an exciting time! Children can run the bases after the game. Please be sure to register early so we can get the best group rates!

As we start a new year, I wanted to give everyone a little glossary of terms I commonly use and what they mean!

RBC Kids = all children birth through 5th grade

Preschool= those potty trained through pre-k/those not yet in Kindergarten

K-5th = all kids in grades Kindergarten through 5th grade (this applies until promotion Sunday of the following year)

Kids Worship = Sunday morning programing for children grades K-2, happening during the sermon and for the rest of the service. This is an engaging time for kids to learn.

Preschool Worship/Preschool Extended Care = Sunday morning programming during the service for children potty trained through pre-k/those not yet in Kindergarten. This is a time of play and Bible story reviewing/learning

Extended Care = Care for children birth through potty trained during the Sunday morning service

Nursery = Both the physical location and the care of children birth through potty trained.
