This past May 7th was the third year, that National Fentanyl Awareness Day was recognized. This day is an effort to educate individuals around the dangerous threat that fentanyl poses to the safety, health, and national security of people. In 2023, over 70,000 Americans fatally overdosed on illegally made fentanyl. Fentanyl can be found in fake pills and users may not be aware that their drugs contain fentanyl.
