I attended our conference's annual meeting this past week with many other pastoral staff, church delegates, and camp directors. It felt much less chaotic than last year when I was heavily involved due to my steps for ordination within the ECC community. Last year, I was going into the meeting ready to share my story of how Jesus changed my life, listen to others do the same, and give reports on the ECC camps of the Northwest Conference (funny they would have the new guy do it), and take a moment from the busy life (at the time) of being both Executive and Program Directors of Lake Beauty Bible Camp...

Welcome to May 2024! This past month has been one filled with continued ministry for different groups out here at Lake Beauty and preparation for the coming summer.

We began the month with Phil on the second half of his sabbatical. I, personally, found great comfort in this time in the ways that I have been prepared to take on this role -on my own, as a member of the greater ministry of Lake Beauty, and as a member of the body of Christ. Lake Beauty Bible camp is pleased to announce our participation in the Power of Camp Study, in summer 2024. We are part of a group of camps across the country who are part of this project. This ground-breaking study will reveal the strengths and growing areas of Lake Beauty. The Power of Camp Study is based on the methodology of the Effective Camp Project developed by Dr. Jacob Sorenson of Sacred Playgrounds.

Position: Properties Associate

Favorite food: Sushi

Favorite camp memory: When I took the staff for an off trail horse back ride through the woods in 2018.

Favorite summer activity: Fishing for multiple species around the state and lake days with my wife.

What drew you to LBBC: I was actually cornered in church to come and work on summer staff at LBBC.

What is one thing on your bucket list: My life long goal is to hunt every species of waterfowl in North America.

If you had to eat one meal every day for the rest of your life, it would be: Tomahawk steak with a side of lobster Mac and cheese.
