Spring has sprung and so ends our 16th Annual Tucson Trunk Show. Thanks to everyone who came to explore and provide so many new homes for our most cherished crystals. It was great to see everyone again at the Austin Metaphysical and Holistic Life Expo and the San Antonio Healing Arts Festival & Market. Last month we participated in the first Austin Gem & Mineral Society’s First Saturday Meet-up. What a great opportunity for families and everyone of all ages to get outside and experience Mother N ature while touching rocks and listening to rockhounds share knowledge and stories. This months’ event is May 7, read below for more details and we’ll see ya there!

May 1st will mark the half way point between the first day of spring and the summer solstice. As far back as Roman Times, May 1 has been known and celebrated as May Day, created to honor and recognize the first day of summer. I guess you can officially say summer is now here!

May 5, also known as Cinco de Mayo is another day of celebration this month. Then May 8, Mother's Day, gives everyone an official time to acknowledge and honor the nurturing females in our lives. Virtually every country around the world officially celebrates a Mother's Day. Our Mother's Day became official in 1914. Don’t forget to add Mother Nature to your list of mothers your celebrating. Spread the love. 💕

This month we recognize the men and women who choose to help protect our country by honoring their services in all our armed forces on May 21, Armed Forces Day. This day is designed to pay tribute to all those currently serving, and those who are no longer serving, but still telling their stories. We continue to honor those who have served in our armed forces, but have passed, by declaring May 30th Memorial Day, the only federal holiday this month. There is an opportunity to show some extra commendation on Memorial Day. In 2000, President Bill Clinton created “National Moment of Remembrance” to remind us all of the sacrifices that have been made by others. At 3pm local time, all are asked to take a pause and remember the heroes that are no longer with us.

Last month our online store kicked off our very own Nature’s Treasures App and what a blessing that was. If you’re reading our newsletters every month you must do yourself a favor and download our NT App. What a great time saver and the perfect opportunity to stay on top of what’s going on in our Nature’s Treasures community. A quick reminder Mercury goes Retrograde this month starting May 10 thru June 2 and there is a Total Lunar Eclipse on May 15-16. This exact lineup of the Sun, Moon with the Earth in the middle makes for an interesting visual (no eye protection needed) and an intense energy attraction (auras may need some protection).

In closing, the saying “April Showers Bring May Flowers “comes to mind. Originating from a poem written in 1157 the actual words were “Sweet April showers, Do spring May flowers”. Mostly thought of as making reference to rain in April offering a sweeter crop of flowers in May, the saying can also be thought of as a metaphor to our lives. When it rains troubles and lessons in our lives, if we hang in there, then all that rain feeds and nourishes us, bringing strength and beauty. ❤️
