A belated Happy Mother’s Day to all my fellow mamas. I had the joy of celebrating my first-born daughter, Courtney Condy, at a baby shower hosted by her sisters, Charlotte and Claire, along with her aunts. Our family is over the moon in anticipation of the arrival of a new baby in August.

Our Marin County market has been surprisingly strong due to significant buyer demand and minimal inventory. Renovated homes in the flats and close-to-town locations (priced right) are flying off the shelves. Compass Marin County manager Ed Lynch shared that roughly 30% of Marin sales have been off-market, and roughly 30% are cash. The wave of buyers from San Francisco continues, especially young families seeking a better quality of life, excellent public schools, and better weather.

To show how low inventory is, the chart below tells the story. YOY sales are down considerably, especially in the luxury end of the market. 

To find homes for our buyer clients, we are always networking with our fellow top producing agents to seek out off-market opportunities, sending out buyer house needs on our platforms, and when possible, making sure our clients are first in line to see a property before it hits the market.

For those of you who may have considered selling, but are on the fence, please know that people are desperate for renovated, move-in ready homes. Many strategic upgrades that offer a return on your investment are easy to do. Our team manages this process for our clients. It is part of our high-touch, full-service approach to assisting our clients maximize the value of their home. It takes a team to do what we do and preparing a home for the market is something we excel at.
