The Jewish Prince of Denmark and Other Stories

Dr. Fine will visit the library to discuss his new book, The Jewish Prince of Denmark and Other Stories. Copies of the book will be available. The book is a collection of short stories about Jews and non-Jews, living together in a confusing world and trying to find a way to continue to do so, in a world that keeps changing, collapsing in on itself, the ground changing under everyone’s feet.

Join us for an all levels yoga class led by local instructor Gina Raheb, owner of Natural Fitness in Narragansett. Children are invited if accompanied by an adult. Registration is required and space is limited.

Bring your own knit or crochet project and socialize with others! There is no instruction and supplies will not be provided. The group meets monthly on the 2nd & 4th Friday.

Dementia: Breaking the Stigma

Join us for an informational presentation on dementia presented by ShipShape RI. Dementia is often misdiagnosed and misunderstood. Join us and learn: What it is, Where it comes from and What it looks like AND hear what it is like living with the disease from Marc Archambault. Registration required.

The Genealogy group meets at the library once a month and new members are always welcome! The group is made up of family historians interested in sharing resources and tips to accurately find their ancestors while helping others with their search.

Meditation for Healthy Living w/ Dr. Post

Discover a simple meditation technique that can melt away stress and be a powerful addition to a healthy living regimen. Facilitated by Dr. Alan Post, long time meditator and contributing author to "Meditation as Medication for the Soul" by Rajinder Singh who has been practicing meditation for over 30 years. Internet Scam/Fraud Seminar

Join us for an informational session to prevent future scams presented by the Narragansett Police Department. Refreshments will be provided. The session will cover: 

  • Recognizing Internet Scams, Fraud, and ID Theft.
  • Types of scams
  • What to do if you or someone you know is being victimized by scams.
  • Tips and tricks in dealing with scams and preventing future attempts.
  • Case Studies on actual scams that have occurred right here in Narragansett.
  • How to report scam attempts.

New Museum Pass- Audrain Automobile Museum

Police Station Tour

Tuesday, May 7th- 5:00pm


Families and children of all ages are invited to come learn about our next-door neighbors, the police station! We will meet in the Program Room to learn about police officers and what they do, and then walk over together to see the station and the police cars/other vehicles used by the station.

Sportstacking: Cup Stacking with Speed!

Saturday, May 25th- 11:00am


Kids in grades 1-5 are invited to learn Sportstacking, which is a type of speedstacking with pyramids of cups. Our instructor Mr. Glenn Costello will teach us the proper mechanics of stacking and incorporate it into fun games that support cardio, muscles, and agility. Registration is required and begins on May 10th.
