Hello there,
You may be used to getting my emails from the state capitol updating you on bills we passed. Today, I’m writing to you as a candidate, to ask for your vote this November for another term.
If you’re not someone who follows state developments closely, let me recap some of the promises I delivered on over the last two years:
I promised fiscal responsibility. In my first term, we made the largest tax cut in CT’s history. We’ve paid down generations of pension debt and have a fully funded Rainy Day fund. People noticed. We were rewarded with an upgraded bond rating from two major credit agencies.
I promised to deliver for my district. In the last two years, together with the Greenwich and Stamford House delegations, we’ve secured a historic level of state funding for this district, close to $100 million dollars for district schools, for pedestrian and traffic improvements, for our libraries, and for local non-profits.
I promised to stand up for women. At a time when reproductive rights have been wiped off the books in states across the country, I have helped improve access to safe and affordable reproductive care in CT, including directing $3 million to Planned Parenthood.
If you’d like to join my campaign, I'd love to have you. Volunteer and donate here. And if you can’t spare the time, then just make a note to vote this November.
Sincerely,
|
