Women Rock Science
Our inaugural Women Rock Science fundraiser is May 9, and you only have until May 4 to purchase tickets. Proceeds will support the Institute’s STEM and STEAM outreach programs to underserved communities in southeast Detroit. During the event, guests can purchase beautiful, rare, responsibly sourced Forevermark diamonds from Greenstone’s Fine Jewelers, with a portion of the proceeds supporting science education. Japanese Garden Event Series
Come enjoy one of North America’s oldest Japanese-style gardens, located on Cranbrook’s campus. Learn about its 100-year heritage, and hear from three of the most respected Japanese garden designers working in North America at Cranbrook Institute of Science May 15, 17, and 22, 2018. Astrobiology and the Early Earth
What does Earth’s story teach us about the possibility of life elsewhere in the cosmos? Join the Institute of Science and the Michigan Mineralogical Society for a night out at the Institute to explore our current understanding of the solar system origin and the remarkable new evidence for conditions on early Earth. The event is May 14 at 7:30pm in the Institute of Science auditorium. Doors open at 7:00pm, and is free for members.
