Comedy Thursday feat. Hypnotist Doug T

After touring as a stand up comic for years Doug wanted a new way to create a better show and entertain more people. That is when he started studying hypnosis and all different types of ways to hypnotize people. Doug wanted to take Comedy Hypnosis to the next level by creating a show that is different from all of the rest. He adds in his quick wit and spot on impressions to make the show fun from beginning to end. His comedy background is a large part of this ability. 

Melody Hart & The All Star Band

High energy, toe tapping country music at it's finest and a wide variety including Classic Country, Texas Swing, 80-90's country all the way up to today's most popular hits. 



Wayne and Melody entertain with their twin fiddle numbers but when Melody steps up to the mic with her beautiful voice you can expect to hear anything from Classic Country shuffles to her rockin' the party with songs by some of todays favorite country female artists.

Get ready to show off your pet's style and personality in our Costume Contest and Pet Parade, starting at 5:30 PM. Dress up your pet in their most adorable or creative outfit, and don't be shy about coordinating your own attire to match! The cutest and most creatively dressed pets will have a chance to win exciting prizes.

This special event is presented by Downtown Partners and made possible by Farmers Savings Bank. To participate, meet at 5:20 PM in front of The Beancounter Coffeehouse & Drinkery located at 212 Jefferson Street to line up for the parade.

Downtown Partners, Inc. Business Signage Grant Program offers applicants up to $300 in matching grant funds for perpendicular “blade” signage for their businesses!

Blade signs have several benefits:

• Accentuating the traditional historic and walkable character of Downtown Burlington
• Emphasizing the Downtown district as a collection of small, independent, locally owned businesses
• Adding to the liveliness of the streetscape
• Freeing up sidewalk space occupied by sandwich board signs
• Encouraging businesses to explore their individuality and examine their branding
• Increasing business visibility for potential customers who would otherwise not know anything about the business unless they were directly in front of it
