New Office Administrator - Kim Krahn
We are excited to introduce you all to our new Office Administrator, Kim Krahn! Kim will be taking over the rowing@ottawarowingclub.com email address. If you see her around the Club remember to give her a warm welcome!

Our previous Office Administrator, Val Thompson will be moving on to new endeavors. We are incredibly thankful for her time, and great work at the Club. We wish her the best!
Chaos Regatta
The ORC will be holding a brand new club-wide regatta on Saturday, June 25th from 8:30 AM to 12 PM! Crews will be made up of athletes from different programs. What better way to get to know athletes from other programs than to row in the same boat!

Teams will be chosen “chaotically” with names drawn from hats and the opportunity to steal athletes from other boats. The best part is, the winning crew will receive custom ORC swag to show off their win. And if that wasn’t enough, everyone will get brunch afterwards.

Regatta fees are $20 per athlete, $10 per coxswain and $10 to just have brunch. Brunch is included for regatta athletes, coxswains and volunteers. All the fees will go towards running the regatta and any leftover will go to the new gym equipment fund.

We are looking for volunteers to help out with this event in various roles, from Brunch Cooks to Safety Boat Drivers to regatta setup and take down. Volunteers will get free brunch!

If you are interested in participating as an athlete or volunteer, please fill out the form below.
ORC Sips! June 4th at the Andy Binda Boathouse
Want to try some new wines? Come on down to the ORC Boat house for an evening with Sommelier Martin Carney. He will introduce us to 4 wines, which includes a sparkling, that we can add to our collection for the summer ahead! Wines will be matched with cheese and nibbles.

This is a fun night to explore your wine tastes, support the Ottawa Rowing Club, and come together for a few laughs. This event is open to ORC members and friends of the ORC.

This fundraising event is limited to 25 people. Tickets are $65 per person. Email Jennifer at arl@ottawarowingclub.com with your names and e-transfers to secure your tickets.

Tennis Ball Reminder
A reminder that if you are using a small boat for practice that it MUST be returned to the rack with a tennis ball cover, as per the safety video, in order to protect the other boats on the racks.

Rowers who do not return their boats with the tennis balls will miss their next scheduled session.
Call for Complaint Resolution Officer
The ORC is looking for a Complaint Resolution Officer. The appointed individual(s) will handle any minor SafeSport complaint that falls within the Ottawa Rowing Club's business and that the Independent Third Party determines should be examined by the ORC, as part of the Safe Sport Policy.

The ideal candidate should be able to respect confidentiality, understand and apply the Safe Sport policy, and be able to make unbiased and reasoned decisions. The CRO will be provided training by Rowontario and Rowing Canada, and be registered under this role, to be protected under Rowing Canada's liability policy.

If you are interested, email Jennifer Jones, at vp.competitive@ottawarowingclub.com.
French Translation of Ottawa Rowing Club Documentation
The ORC is looking to start translating its documentation into French, as to best respect the francophone community within the National Capital Region.
