Ms. McNierney's Travelers Present Annual Play
Congratulations to Ms. McNierney and the Travelers on their wonderfully entertaining production of The Cheetah and the Sloth!
Math Olympiad End-of-Year Results
Mrs. Mazur is pleased to report that the majority of the Academy Hill team  earned scores of 50% or higher relative to the worldwide participants in the Math Olympiad program.

Farrah Kanorwalla, Jack Murphy, David Priefer, and Spence Deliso earned the top 10% score distinction and received Math Olympiad pins.

Jack and Spence tied for team first place.

Attention 7th Grade Parents!
7th Grade Parents: Please see your email invitation to meet with Mrs. Earls this summer. Each summer, we meet with incoming 8th Grade Families to discuss our students' plans for their transition to the secondary school of their choice. Please email Melissa Earls  by clicking HERE. We are offering appointments throughout June, July and early August. This is our time to discuss the secondary school admissions process, the transition to high school, and expectations for the 8th grade school year!
Believe it or not, summer is almost here!
As the end of the year approaches, the Academy Hill community looks forward to several annual events. Please stay tuned for additional information and announcements!

Thursday, May 24 - Sunday, May 27: Grade 8 Graduation Trip
The Class of 2018 will join Mrs. Earls on a trip to Washington, DC.

June 4, 5, 6: Clusters
Your child will have the opportunity to select their first choices from this year's offerings, which include topics such as Canine Capers, Keep AHS Beautiful, Airplane and Flight, Superheroes, Puppets, Puzzles and Games, Create Your Own Sport, Kids Carpentry, Le Francophile, Pysanki, Classy Glass, Cooking Our Way Through Italy, Hiking, and Rocketry and Physics! Please join us on the afternoon of June 6 for the annual Clusters Expo!

June 7: Last school day/Graduation Rehearsal/Head of School Luncheon
All student lockers, cubbies and other personal space must be cleared by the end of the day on June 7. The 8th grade will travel to Asnuntuck Community College for graduation rehearsal, followed by the Head of School Luncheon for all members of the Class of 2018.

June 8: Graduation and Closing Ceremony
Graduation takes place at 9:00a at Asnuntuck Community College in Enfield, CT. All students are invited. If your child will not attend the end of year graduation and ceremony, please let your child's teacher know. Classes prepare a special send-off for graduates, and if your child will not be joining us, we will be sure to keep that in mind when practicing for the day.

June 11 - June 29: June SPARK Program

July 2 - August 24: Summer Hours in Effect
The Academy Hill school building will be closed on Fridays throughout July and August.
Normal summer hours will be 8:30a - 2:00p.
The building will be closed on July 4 and 5, as well.

Middle School French Program visits Quebec with Madame James
Thank you to Madame James for a superbly well organized and executed trip to Quebec. And thank you to the parents who assisted Madame as our middle school French students took a journey across our northern border last week.

Academy Hill Summer Hours
Please remember that Academy Hill will observe "summer hours" beginning on July 1. Throughout July and until the week of August 27, the building will be closed on Fridays. The school will be open from 8:30a - 2:00p Mondays through Thursdays, and by appointment or arrangement at other times. In addition, we will be closed on July 4 and 5, in observance of Independence Day.
