Director's Note

May welcomes the warmth and beauty of spring, with the possibility it may still snow, so keep those jackets and boots with your sandals at the door. May is National Speech-Language-Hearing Month, a time to raise awareness about communication disorders and the importance of early intervention. Follow us on Facebook and Instagram where we will be sharing tips, resources, and fun activities to support speech and language development in children of all ages.

Summer classes start soon and we are kicking off the season this month with Pedal Pushers - Bike Riding Workshop and Infant Massage. Find out more about these and our other exciting classes below. Groups are open to ALL children, not just Amaryllis clients, so tell your friends and family and sign up today!

Amaryllis Therapy Clinic is dedicated to nurturing the growth and development of your child or children and we appreciate your trust in us. Your feedback helps us continually improve our services. Materials

  • 1 cup Gummy bears
  • 2 TB Cornstarch
  • 2 TB Powdered sugar

Instructions

  1. Microwave gummy bears in a heat-safe bowl for 10-15 seconds. Stir, and continue heating in 10-15 second intervals until gooey.
  2. Stir in powdered sugar and cornstarch in equal amounts, until the gummy bear slime forms a cohesive ball.
  3. When your gummy bear slime is too tough to stir with a spoon, finish kneading by hand.
  4. Add more cornstarch little by little (if needed) so that slime no longer sticks to hands.
