Tomorrow marks the beginning of Teacher Appreciation Week!

SAS offers two great options for saying a heartfelt "thank you" to our instructors:

First, submit your nomination for the next inductee to our Hall of Fame. In celebration of our 85th anniversary last fall, we launched a figurative Hall of Fame to honor those whose efforts have contributed to SAS’s success and longevity. The inaugural inductees were Alfred Hunt and Harriet Langsam Sobol (pictured below), two of our teachers who have been engaging students and developing a devoted following for years at SAS, with Hunt leading history and current events courses and Sobol organizing writing and book discussion classes.

Let us know who should be the next honoree and why by sending an email to Executive Director Jill Serling.

Next, honor all of your favorite SAS instructors by making a fully tax-deductible donation in any amount on our donation page, and be sure to identify the names of the SAS instructors to be recognized in the comment section (see image below). We will notify your instructors of the names of every student who pays tribute to them with a "teacher appreciation week" donation. Your name will also appear on our year end donor honor roll.
