Remembering Dr. Barbara Stanley’s Suicide Prevention Research

One of the world’s foremost leaders in suicide prevention research, Dr. Barbara Stanley, served on PRIM&R’s Board of Directors for more than three decades starting in 1984. In consideration of National Mental Health Awareness Month, PRIM&R would like to recognize the dedicated years of service Dr. Stanley gave not only to PRIMR&R, but thousands around the world through her mental health research.

PRIM&R Member Digest launching next month!


We’re excited to announce the launch of the PRIM&R Member Digest in June. This enhanced publication will be issued to members monthly and consist of everything you’ve come to expect from the PRIM&R Member Newsletter and Research Ethics Digest, plus more exclusive content and resources. 


Starting June 27, 2024, members will receive a single publication every month that includes:  


  • Original articles, member interviews, announcements, and updates. 
  • Research Ethics Self-Study column, a featured section that provides two scholarly journal articles (one geared towards IRBs and one geared towards IACUCs), accompanied by quizzes eligible for 0.75 CE each, and discussion guides. 
  • Case Studies section that includes one case for IRBs and one case for IACUCs (12 cases each annually) and a venue for discussion with colleagues through a new forum on the PRIM&R Online Community.
