In this class, 8 Techniques will be covered and applied to a beautiful panel. You will learn step by step basic instructions for: 1) Free Motion Quilting, 2) Dimensional Thread Painting, 3) Trapunto, 4) application of multiple Overlays, 5) various 3D Layering, 6) Bobbin Work, 7) Blocking and Squaring a quilt and of course, 8) applying Crystals! More importantly, you will learn the proper steps of creating these numerous techniques, why and when to apply them to a quilt, and leave with a beautiful creation!

Pants can be so easy to sew. Let Pattie Otto show you how along with some expert fitting advice. Knit or woven fabric? The choice is yours. Great Copy Maui Pants is a full leg pant or capri designed for lightweight woven fabrics, while the Long Island Pant is a slim leg pant for light to mid weight stable knits. Both patterns have pull-on elastic waists and slit pocket options. Pattie will have try-ons of all sizes to aid in obtaining a great fit. After pattern adjustments, layout and cutting, Pattie will help with construction including pockets, hemming and elastic waistband techniques.

Did you know - pioneer women were upcycling back in the 1700's! Rag quilts were made out of worn clothing to keep you warm in the days before central heating. A rag quilt is a quick and easy way to make a comfy, cozy quilt for either kids or adults. With exposed seams that fray when washed, a simple pattern, and soft fabrics like worn denim or flannel, rag quilts are not exactly like other types of quilts! They're also great for beginners as well as more experienced quilters looking for something a bit different.

This sampler class is an exploration of your sewing machine and accessory attachments. While this is presented as an applique sampler quilt, it is so much more! Buy your class supplies with us!
Supplies purchased for our classes and clubs receive a 20% discount.
Payment for classes must be received at the time of registration. If you cancel 7 or more days before class you will be issued a store credit. There will be no refunds or credit for cancellations less than 7 days before class. If we have to cancel a class, we will reschedule the class when possible or refund the fee.
For inclement weather, we follow the Howard County School System schedule.
