Land Work Volunteers Needed – Salem, NH

As we enter spring it is time to start working with the land of the Temple of Witchcraft at Grandview in Salem, New Hampshire.

We have a lot of projects: clearing trails, clearing space for cromlechs (stone circles) and ritual spaces, planting and weeding in the gardens, and more. Volunteers enjoy opportunities to connect with other Temple members in a different setting to build community and have fun and interesting conversations while we're working on whatever we’re doing. There are also opportunities to enjoy making use of the ritual spaces or to work with some of the Temple Spirits or the Faery Court.

Planned workdays in 2024 are: May 5, May 19, June 2, June 16, June 30, July 7, July 21, August 4, August 18, September 15, October 6, October 20, and November 3.

Please contact Jason Gamache, the Lead Minister for Taurus at taurus@templeofwitchcraft.org for more information or to let us know you are coming ... there may be snacks and beverages for volunteers!

Exploring the Queer Mysteries

Class begins May 22nd

Dive into the Queer Mysteries in this series of nine monthly online classes. Queerness and Witchcraft have many points of connection, from the creativity that comes from a spirit of transgression, to the insight available from an outsider position, to the magick of speaking truth about ourselves and our experiences.

If you identify as queer, this class will help you explore the magickal qualities and spiritual wisdom which are part of queer experiences of many kinds and deepen your practice as a queer witch. If you do not identify as queer, this class will help you learn more about the queer community and the varieties of queer experience, while exploring what these mysteries have to teach you in your own life and practice.

The Sword & the Stone

June 29, July 27 & August 24. Explore the divine masculine with two elemental hallows found both upon our altar and within our souls—the earthy “Stone of Sovereignty” and elemental air's “Sword of Truth”—as we traverse the World Tree to open the gates to kingdoms of the triple god-head, The Lord of Light, The Lord of Shadow, and the Lord of Manifest. Aided by the natural world, with three powerful stones, and three potent essential oils, we explore the mysteries of the Witch God, discovering and healing what Sovereignty and Truth means to us, and how we manifest and balance them in ourselves and the Three Worlds. This class is hosted by the Temple's Capricorn Ministry as part of their Divine Masculine workshop series.

We Are the Witchcraft: Rosalie Penczak (online)

May 3rd, 7:00–9:00 pm Eastern time, online

Inspired by the universal nature of the Witch as found in Jack Parson’s "We Are the Witchcraft" prose, the Temple of Witchcraft honors our Witch ancestors to deepen our relationship with them.

Rosalie Penczak who some affectionately call the “mother of the Temple of Witchcraft” is the first to be called, on her Greater Feast of May 3. Instrumental in the foundation of the Temple by providing space, support, magickal items, and ritual in those early years, today she is known as an ancestor for helping those who have difficult relationships with their own mothers or mothers who were abusive. She can be called upon for help with acquiring food, clothing, or basic necessities, support in the struggles of helping others, or if you just need someone to listen. She is a great aid in breaking the “evil eye,” hexes, curses, and jealousy from others and improving your divination skills with the crystal ball. She inspires crafting your own tools, or finding them in unusual places.

Come join us on Zoom video conferencing to learn about Rosalie's life and how to communicate with her as an ancestral contact in the Temple tradition. $25 donation to support the Temple. Pre-registration required.

Children's Beltane Ritual

The Temple's Cancer Ministry offers downloads for parents to celebrate the sabbats of the Wheel of the Year with their children.

Beltane is considered the start of summer. The Goddess and God in all their wonder come together at this time, as a promise, that the cycle of life will continue. There are so many things in this world to love and so many ways we can express our love. Many people dance around Maypoles in celebration. Those who don’t have access to a maypole may use ribbon wands or just simply dance. The point of this is to show your joy.

This download consists of a 6-page ritual outline, 4-page guide to crafting fire-starting bundles, 2-page recipe for lavender simple syrup, and 3 coloring and activity pages on the Celtic sun god Belenus. All proceeds support the Temple of Witchcraft's ongoing work.
