Sign up for the City of Beavercreek's Citizens Academy!
The City of Beavercreek is excited to announce its second annual Citizens Academy, a seven-week program that offers behind-the-scenes access to city programs and services. This program provides an excellent opportunity for City of Beavercreek residents and business owners to learn about city departments and divisions and how they operate.
In-person classes will be held Thursday evenings from 6 to 8 p.m. and will run from August 22 through October 3, 2024. Limited spots available.

Tree Hike at Fox Run Park

Beavercreek Parks, Recreation & Culture and the city's Tree Advisory Board have teamed up to create a tree hike! Enjoy a one-mile, family-friendly hike around Fox Run Park while learning about trees and how to identify them. We’ll look at the leaves, bark, and branching patterns of common trees to the area, discuss their benefits to our ecosystem, and why you might choose them for your own landscape. This hike is free and open to the public, but registration is required.

Tai Chi is an ancient Chinese tradition that, today, is practiced as a graceful form of exercise. It involves a series of movements performed in a slow, focused manner and accompanied by deep breathing. Tai Chi benefits include improved health, balance and better stress management.

Strollers In Motion is a stroller-based workout for moms and caregivers. Each total body workout incorporates power walking and strolling, strength training, balance work, and toning. There are lots of perks to being a member at the Beavercreek Senior Center! Services include access to a state-of-the-art fitness room and various exercise classes aimed at promoting physical well-being. Additionally, the center hosts a variety of events and social activities to encourage community engagement and foster friendships among its members. Opportunities for volunteering are also available, providing seniors with a chance to contribute to their community and stay active.

Safety Town is a four-day interactive and educational experience for children entering kindergarten and first grade in the Beavercreek City Schools District. Beavercreek Police Officers and guest speakers provide age-appropriate instruction on various safety topics.

The annual Tom Birt Memorial Scramble is sponsored by the City of Beavercreek and City of Fairborn's Parks & Recreation Departments. The outing is played in memory of Fairborn Parks & Recreation Superintendent Tom Birt who was an avid golfer and strong advocate for parks and recreation.
