Reflecting on a Magical

Afternoon Tea with Mom

We recently celebrated an enchanting afternoon on the eve of Mother's Day, filled with live music, heartfelt conversations, and delightful surprises. Our sophisticated Mother's Day celebration was crafted to strengthen the cherished bonds between mothers and daughters in our community.

Guests stepped into a realm of style and elegance, creating cherished memories and sharing laughter. The day was made even more special with British hats and jewelry exhibition that added a touch of glamour and finesse to the festivities.

The highlight of the evening was the enthralling performance by Persian Opera singer Shahrzad Tavakol, accompanied by the amazing performance by LA Daf. It was a truly memorable experience for everyone who attended.

A memorable addition to our event was a photo shoot by Raz Nateghi Studio, which provided beautifully printed pictures to capture the special moments with moms. It was a wonderful opportunity for everyone to take a piece of this magical day home with them.

We are grateful to have shared this extraordinary day with you and look forward to many more wonderful gatherings.

Iranian Dance Class

We recently had the pleasure of hosting an amazing dance class at the IAW Foundation, dedicated to empowering Iranian American women through the joy of dance, a cherished part of Iranian culture. The class was expertly led by the talented Shantel Behroozan, who uses dance as a tool to heal, celebrate, come together, and empower participants to be free from judgment and fear, and to feel liberated in their own bodies.

Participants brought their best dance moves and energy, creating an atmosphere filled with positivity and unity. It was truly inspiring to see everyone moving freely and embracing the experience.

Thank you to all who attended and made this dance class a memorable and empowering gathering. We look forward to bringing more events like this to our community!

NEW YORK CHAPTER PRESENTS

Fertility 101: 

Everything you need to know about your fertility and how to preserve it

This will be an informative session on the fundamentals of fertility and different methods to preserve fertility, specifically egg and embryo freezing. We will review when to seek a consultation with a fertility specialist, what to expect at your initial visit, and treatment options for infertility. We will also discuss the egg/embryo freezing process and the pros and cons of each type of treatment. There will be ample time for questions. This event will hopefully provide valuable insight into your future fertility planning.

Dr. Taraneh Gharib Nazem is a double board-certified Reproductive Endocrinologist and Infertility specialist and Obstetrician Gynecologist who cares for patients at RMA of New York, the fertility practice of Mount Sinai Hospital. She completed her residency in Obstetrics and Gynecology at the New York University School of Medicine and received her medical degree from Mount Sinai’s Icahn School of Medicine, graduating with distinction in research. 

Throughout her career, Dr. Nazem has distinguished herself as a clinician and researcher.

Celebration & Community!

On Friday, May 3rd, we hosted an engaging event at Masquerade in Brooklyn, NY, where we introduced our new mentorship program and workshop series. The evening was designed to inspire, empower, and connect attendees.

Guests enjoyed a signature drink specially crafted for the occasion along with a selection of tasty appetizers. The event provided a wonderful opportunity for participants to learn more about our initiatives and how they can get involved in empowering the community.
