Greetings in the grace and peace of Jesus the Christ! My prayer is that you are experiencing the goodness of God’s grace in these days.

The summer months invite us to a different rhythm of life. Opportunities to gather together occur among our local congregations and across the district. This newsletter functions as an invitation. You are invited to join the district family at:

One more invitation. I invite you to pray this prayer with me daily throughout the month of June: “Show me your ways, LORD, teach me your paths. Guide me in your truth and teach me, for you are God my Savior, and my hope is in you all day long” (Psalm 25:4-5). Please pray this prayer for yourself, for me, and for our Metro NY District Family.

Make plans to join us at Mirror Lake Retreat, Saturday, June 15th for our 2nd Annual Metro New York Day! We look forward to gathering as a district for fellowship, activities for all ages, and tons of fun!

Please make sure to register at the link below; registration will close June 10th. Cost is $10/adult, $5/child, or $25/family. There will be food for purchase on site or you can bring your own; barbeque grills will be available for use.

Metro NY District Quizzers Compete in Eastern Field Regional Youth Bible Quizzing Competition!

Congratulations to our District Quizzers who recently competed in the Eastern Field Regional Youth Quizzing Competition! Churches that represented the District were Bronx Bethany, Bedford Zion, Jehovah Shamah, Community Worship Center, Springfield Gardens, & Ozone Park, as well as Throop Memorial Presbyterian church. Thank you to the coaches, church leaders, and families that have invested in their gifts and talents!

Abigail Baynes, of Community Worship Center, was the 1st Place Quizzer in the Novice division; the Scripture Slayers were the 2nd Place Team in the Novice division. Gianna Palmer, from Springfield Gardens, came in 6th Place in the Experienced division, earning a $500 scholarship to ENC. 

Please continue to pray for these students as they travel to Point Loma Nazarene University in San Diego, CA, June 24 - 29, to compete at Nationals!

Beulah Church of the Nazarene Celebrates 100th Anniversary!

This year, we commemorate 100 years of God’s faithfulness to us at Beulah Church of the Nazarene. This occasion calls for a special celebration! We have three events scheduled for October 11th – 13th and will most appreciate your participation:

           100^th Anniversary Gala                                October 11, 2024 @ 7 pm

           A Walk Down Memory Lane                       October 12, 2024 @ 4 pm

           Grand Service Celebration                         October 13, 2024 @ 10am

All are welcome to join us as we celebrate this momentous occasion. The celebration will include lots of special memories and photos, special music, an inspiring message,

and a great opportunity to catch up with our extended church family. We hope to welcome many of our friends who have attended Beulah Church over the years. If you know someone you think would like to attend, please invite them.
