Friends of Ingraham Last General Meeting

Monday June 10 7pm in the library is the Final FOI meeting of the year. We'll get school updates from Mr. Floe, approve a new budget for next year and approve new parent leadership team. We hope you can join us and set the priorities for next year and celebrate all the good things that we were able to do this year.

Golden Ram Nominations

Is there an outstanding Ingraham staff member or someone from the community that you believe deserves a special honor?

At our last meeting FOI will give out the Golden Ram Awards.

Friends of Ingraham awards two Golden Ram awards each year, one each to a staff and community member who have gone above and beyond to support the students. Learn more and submit a nomination.

Nominations are due June 2.

FOI NEEDS YOU!!!

We need new additions to our parent leadership team.   It's a great way to get involved and make sure the school has the resources it needs.

Reach out to us and we can work together to customize any of the positions below to match your strengths and how much time you have available.

We need commitments by June 10 or FOI will need to make hard decisions about next year. Please consider joining the board and help us continue to support the school!

  • President/Co-president:  Partner with current president Kathleen Zagers and then step in to lead as President in 2025/2026.  The president provides guidance and assistance to other board members, answers questions and connects with the Ingraham community and beyond.  This is a role that requires some public speaking, leading monthly board meetings and an encouraging, supportive personality.

  • Communications: FOI has a multi-layered approach to communications.   We are looking for someone who can write a monthly newsletter, help manage our social media accounts and keep our website updated. We are always interested in how we can best reach out to our families for optimum impact.  We use programs like Canva,  Constant Contact, Squarespace, Instagram and Facebook to help get the work done.

  • Fundraising:  FOI would like to try some new fundraising strategies for next year.  With the district budget cuts, we want to be certain that our fundraising efforts are successful and FOI is positioned to offer maximum assistance to the school as needed.  Join the board and we can work together to find some fun ways to raise money.  The current major fundraiser for FOI is the Annual Appeal.   Additional smaller events raise extra revenue.

  • Grade Level Representative(s): The purpose of this new role is to build community within each graduating class, provide representation to FOI across grade levels, and spearhead fundraising efforts for Senior Spree (do not have to be in charge of this, but spearhead getting those efforts going early). We need reps for class of 2026 and 2028 (incoming freshman)

Parents for the Class of 2027 Let’s Celebrate the End of the Year!

Thursday, May 30 at 6pm - 8pm at Fremont Brewery

Getting your child through the first year of high school is no small thing. So let’s gather as a community of Ninth Grade families! We’ll stake out some space at the Fremont Brewery’s urban beer garden in Fremont.  This will not be a fundraising event - just an opportunity to connect with other parents and hear a little more about what is ahead.

2 MORE GRANTS APPROVED

During the April FOI Board Meeting, we approved the final grants of the school year. These grants are made possible through generous donations to Friends of Ingraham.

And then.... we had two more grants submitted. FOI chose to dip into our savings and fund IB French textbooks and continue to update microphones for the performing arts.

See above about our need for parent leaders! We want to continue this important work and we need you.

What is SPREE? We know kids want to celebrate graduation. SPREE is a fun, SAFE all night party that is drug and alcohol free. This event benefits from fundraising over multiple years and traditionally is chaperoned by non-senior parents. Help us keep this tradition going!

Bright Futures News

Bright Futures is currently supporting over 150 students with supplemental food through the weekend backpack program. The food being offered by the food bank starts to get a bit repetitive by this time of the school year. Consider brightening a students day by contributing some treats to add to the bags. Sign up here if you can drop off a donation.

Bright Futures also maintains and stocks the Pride Closet at school. This space keeps a variety of items that students "need". If you would like to contribute any items, our wish list is regularly updated with items that need to be restocked. Amazon wish list
