Bonner Springs is partnering with the state-led Kansas Hazard Mitigation Team to better understand the flood risk along Spring Creek. Using up-to-date mapping techniques, Silver Jackets partners (USACE, the Kansas Department of Emergency Management, Kansas Department of Agriculture Division of Water, and the City) will use the mapping results to develop solutions that will reduce the risk of residential flooding in that watershed.

Be on the lookout later this summer for announcements about meetings that will share information about flood risk in the Spring Creek Watershed. You will learn how the City will use the updated information about flood risk, solutions that can be implemented, and what you can do to protect your home and your family.
