Contest Winners: Know Vape student videos

Congratulations to the winners of the Know Vape student video contest! We received 48 incredible entries from students around the state.

We challenged students ages 13-18 to make 90-second videos exposing the shadowy commercial tobacco marketing tactics behind vaping, the known and unknown health effects, the misinformation about vaping, and how addictive and harmful vaping can be for teens.

Make your own bee hotel

Busy Bees in Rupert

We built wild bee hotels with preschoolers at Rupert's Demary Memorial Library in April using recycled materials, including cans and cardboard tubes.

"We learned about how bees are not only essential to our environment but a huge help in our gardens!" says IdahoPTV Education Specialist Brady Kissel, who led the event.

Now our buzzy friends have a nice spot to rest, and we can observe them all summer to build our knowledge and confidence in nature. We encourage all families to explore the outdoors together this spring.

These may be kids whose primary home language is something other than English or students who have bilingual or trilingual households and thus may not get the English language practice at home that they need in order to succeed in school.
