May began on a happy note! In our part of the world, the month started with celebratory Eid festivities with many countries enjoying week-long holidays, which meant great business for our industry. Many regional operators recorded stratospheric business. A happy industry makes us happy.

Here at MENALAC, we hosted a free online education session for our members, “Sustainability Best Practices in Leisure, Entertainment and Attraction”, by Tatiana Antonelli Abella, Founder & Managing Director of GOUMBOOK - a social enterprise dedicated to sustainability and sustainable development.

The following week, MENALAC participated in the SEA Expo in Riyadh, Saudi Arabia. We also had a strong show of MENALAC members at the Expo, who we hope had a productive time. Finally, we ended the month with our Annual General Meeting with a few positions elected to the Board to finalise our MENALAC Board for 2022-2023
