A Warm Hello!
On behalf of the NJCEC, we wish you and all of your families health and safety during these unprecedented times. We also would like to thank all of our healthcare and essential workers on the front-line who continue to make our world turn. During this time of uncertainty and change in which all of the best laid plans have been pushed aside and it is difficult to plan for the future, we have been assessing the ways in which we connect to you, our members, and the resources we provide for you.

The NJCEC is continually looking for ways to share important news and resources to make your lives easier. This includes taking advantage of more digital opportunities and tools. So, after a bit of a hiatus, we are happy to bring back our NJCEC newsletter!

As you will read, we are also jumping into the world of webinars. As always, our goal as an organization is to connect and strengthen the New Jersey special education community. Our new digital undertakings are just one way that we continually contribute to this goal.

We would also like to welcome all of our new members to our special community. We are so happy to have all of you here!

Thank you for being here with us. Stay Safe, Strong and Healthy!

Please feel free to reach out to us if you have any ideas and suggestions!

Early this month, an $8 million, five and a half year allotment was granted to Montclair State University’s Center for Autism and Early Childhood Mental Health (CAECMH) and the New Jersey Coalition for Inclusive Education (NJCIE). This grant, provided through the Individuals with Disabilities Education Act, seeks to lower the separation of special education students in classes and schools, aiming for more inclusivity in the classrooms of New Jersey’s public schools.
