How is Medicaid Changing in New York?

On October 1, 2020, several changes to New York Medicaid rules will go into effect. These include a new look back period for community long-term care as well as changing eligibility criteria for Personal Care Services (PCS) and the Consumer Directed Personal Assistance Program (CDPAP) as well as other rules. Families should speak with an attorney about long-term care planning and protecting their own finances where possible.
