PRESIDENT'S MESSAGE
Greetings NTMCA Members!

We made it through another election season! For those of you with run-offs, just hold on, you’re almost there! As with most of our responsibilities, the time and effort you all put into elections is often overlooked. So, thank you for all you do, the stress you endure, and the dedication you give to fulfilling your duties without complaint and calming the chaos around you. Your commitment to maintaining the integrity of the electoral process IS appreciated!
APRIL PROFESSIONAL SEMINAR SUMMARY
BIG thanks to the Seminar Committee (Christine Loven, Colleyville; Allison Tidwell, Fort Worth; Amy Arnold, White Settlement) for doing an awesome job with this year’s Athenian Dialogue. Guest speaker Dr. Amy Holt did an excellent job of presenting The Woman Behind the New Deal by Kirstin Downey. I think everyone took away a little bit of history and deeper understanding of how different our working lives would be today, had it not been for the careful planning of Frances Perkins.
LEGISLATIVE UPDATE
Theresa Scott (Flower Mound) has been following the bills being brought to the legislature this session. We hope to bring you an update at our next meeting. You can keep apprised of daily changes by accessing the TML Legislative Update webpage.
