Irish music competition put on annually by the international Irish music organization called Comhaltas Ceoltóirí Éireann. This year, the fleadh will take place in St. Louis, Missouri from May 12-14.
We have 28 students competing in solo, duo, trio, or group competitions this weekend. The Advanced Youth Ensemble has been working towards the under-18 grúpa ceoil and ceili band categories with their director, Brian Miller. All of our students have been diligently practicing their tunes and songs in preparation for this weekend's competitions. Please cheer them on from afar!

In addition to the competition, a major focus of the Midwest Fleadh Cheoil is the comaraderie and the enjoyment and satisfaction of setting (and achieving) musical goals. We strongly encourage students of any age to come each year! Keep up-to-date on students' results and see photos from the event on our
Facebook page.
Musicians who place first or second in the Midwest competitions qualify to compete in Ireland at the All-Ireland Fleadh. The Fleadh Cheoil na hÉireann 2017 will be held in Ennis from August 13-21.
