Hangar 2 Groundbreaking

The City broke ground on a new Hangar 2 and associated infrastructure at the Lee's Summit Airport. The hangar will include aircraft storage, amenities for aviation customers, an observation deck and space for the STA Aerospace Academy, an immersive environment where high school students can turn their aviation dreams into careers in aviation. Thank you to our citizens who showed their support with the approval of the April 2023 no tax bond question that partially funded the project.
