Birthday Dreams continues to work hard to fulfill urgent birthday requests while maintaining the health and safety of our employees and the community we serve. We recently delivered a Birthday-in-a-Box to a CPS involved child. Because of COVID-19, his mother was unable to be with her son for a supervised visit on his birthday. With support from Birthday Dreams, she was still able to give her son a birthday and was with him virtually while he opened his gifts. She said, "Thank you so much for making things a little easier during COVID-19." We are thrilled to be able to help homeless children in this stressful time. Words from a Parent After every party, we invite parents and shelters to provide us with feedback to help us improve our service to the community. Of course, w e are always thrilled to learn about (and share) the impact Birthday Dreams is making. Below is feedback from the mother of a 5-year old party recipient. The mother wrote that her daughter "Loved detail, custom to our needs." Her daughter was elated to indulge in cupcakes that met her gluten free dietary needs and said her daughter was "super, super excited" when she received a new pink bike and Elsa Barbie Doll. The mother also said she was, "Excited for us as parents to see our daughter smile, giggle and play during an extremely difficult time in our life." And commented that they were extremely grateful to be able to share that joy with other children in the shelter who received cake and goodies bags.

Volunteer Spotlight Sheryl Mattausch Sheryl started supporting Birthday Dreams by baking cakes for parties, but has since evangelized our cause, encouraging her husband, grandchildren and other family members to get involved.From sorting a truckload of Halloween candy, to delivering parties to donating gift cards, Sheryl has stepped in, stepped up and rallied the troops to bring "joy, hope and dignity to homeless children with the gift of a birthday party."

May the 4th, the "force" was with us as we hit 4000 FB followers. Social media is an important to spreading the word out Birthday Dreams mission and impact. We are so pleased to announce that together we raised $10,359 : with matching gifts we expect the final number to be over $12,000 ! That translates to an estimated 96 birthday celebrations. We are exceedingly thankful for your continued support and generosity during these uncertain times.
