To Our Valued Massachusetts Personal Lines Agents,

We will be making updates to our Personal Lines Auto and Home products effective May 15, 2024. Please note that the Auto updates apply only to our Existing Personal Lines Auto program (policies written before the MAPS Auto program rollout on April 19, 2024). The MAPS Auto program is not affected by the following changes.

Massachusetts Personal Auto

While the rate impact will vary by policy, the overall rate change is +5% applicable only to renewal business. Other changes include:

Base Rate adjustments.
Marketing Partner Discount (Pan-Mass Challenge) is now up to 2.5%, donation amount remains unchanged at $50.
Merit Rating Factor adjustments.
A minor update was made to the Collision and Limited Collision Deductible Savings Program coverage that is part of the Elite Package Endorsement.
Going forward, MAPFRE will utilize the RMV validated returned Annual Mileage on renewals. When valid annual mileage is returned by the RMV, the ability to override the field in AgencyPortal^® for existing renewal business will be disabled. If you have questions regarding validated RMV mileage, please send an email to policychanges@mapfreusa.com. Any exception requests for changes should utilize Form CIC-750.

Massachusetts Home

While the rate impact will vary by policy, the overall rate change is +6% across all forms (HO3/HO5, HO4, HO6) and is applicable to both new and renewal business. Other changes include:

Base Rate and Underwriting Company Factor adjustments.
Experience Factor has been renamed the “Policy History Factor” to better reflect the factor application.

These rates are now available through AgencyPortal.
