Dear Jacqueline,

Many warm greetings from our team here working on the Mary, Mother of Fairest Love project, as we begin the summer months!

I am writing with a few exciting updates from May that have brought us yet closer to realizing our vision of breaking ground at our newly secured land just outside of Los Angeles.

As you know, we have worked tirelessly to share with and educate thousands of the faithful about the devotion to the Mother of Fairest Love following St. Josemaría Escrivá’s vision to help all families through her motherly intercession. Having secured the land to make this vision a reality, we have turned our attention toward site planning and land development of the Retreat Center, and Chapel that will welcome faithful families from across the world.

Early in May, I accompanied our architect and a few team members on a site visit to the Chino Hills property. Our team began staking out the future buildings so that our engineers can start planning for the installation of utilities, determining access points, and planning the traffic flow on the future site.

Our architect and team are excited and ready to work with the city of Chino Hills as we present a master site plan for approval to obtain our permit to develop the land. We would appreciate your continued prayers for a productive collaboration with the municipality so that we can break ground on this important new center of spiritual growth for Catholic families.

As we staked out the land for the retreat center and the chapel, our vision for the layout of our grounds crystallized in exciting ways. I am pleased to share a few pictures from that visit with you.

Staking out the plaza for the Chapel

We were most excited to begin plotting out the space for the chapel which will be the focal point of our campus and a place for Mass, prayer, and other spiritual activities. Most important of all, it will be the home of our 7-foot Carrara Marble statue of Mary, Mother of Fairest Love, the intercessor for families and their dearest needs.

View from future Retreat House & Chapel

As we staked out a plot for the future retreat house, our team was struck by the natural beauty that will greet future retreatants. The serene beauty of these hills will be a perfect backdrop to help our visitors retreat and grow closer to the Lord.

Staking out the Retreat House

This retreat house will provide spiritual rest and nourishment through programs for Catholic men and women of all ages. After we open our doors, we look forward to offering a comprehensive set of retreats, workshops, and events that will only be enhanced by the beauty of our grounds.

This site planning visit is the first of many and has been a long time in the making—six years to be exact. We could not have reached this point without your leadership and financial support, and we are so grateful for your generosity.

If you have any questions about how your investment is making a difference in our work, I warmly invite you to write back with your questions or comments.

Next, I’ll look forward to providing an update on the blessing of the statue in the artist studio in Carrara Italy next week!

Fondly,

Jacqueline Taylor,

Chief Executive Officer
