Fishers of Men Statue and Scholarship Project
At its annual Homecoming meeting, the MLC Alumni Association board adopted a three-year project to establish an endowed scholarship and erect a statue of Jesus.
The scholarship is in line with the association's commitment to supporting current students.
The life-size bronze statue of Christ calling his disciples to follow him would stand at the center of campus and serve as a constant reminder that MLC exists to train followers of Jesus.
The goal is to have the project completed by 2020 so that it can be given to the college as a 25-year anniversary gift. Learn more and prayerfully consider generously supporting this worthy effort. |
Historic DMLC Messenger Magazines Online
Want a glimpse of DMLC student life 100 years ago? The DMLC Messenger provides that and more. College and alumni notes, jokes, and advertisements by local businesses give a very entertaining look back on early DMLC and New Ulm days. The quarterly booklet editions of 1910-1951 are now digitized and available online along with yearbooks and archived editions of InFocus magazine, Knightwatch magazine, and more. Special thanks to our Temporary Archives Project Manager Kelly Diersen for her work to ensure that current items of interest are being collected, and more content is available for you to view!

Successful Strategies for Debt Destruction
As MLC alumni, we know that Jesus destroyed our greatest debt by defeating sin, death, and the devil. There's another kind of debt some of us struggle with, though, and that's our college loans.
A young married couple graduated from MLC in 2015 with a combined debt of $35,000. But they were able to pay off the entire debt in just over 18 months - on called worker wages, without receiving an inheritance or winning the lottery. How did they do it? Their story doesn't have any magic formulas, but it does contain many practical tips. |
