We are Impact100 Grant Award Recipients!
On April 19th, we were 1 of 3 agencies awarded $100,000 at Impact100's Grant Awards Celebration. Yes. You read that right. ONE. HUNDRED. THOUSAND. DOLLARS.

This award will fully fund our M.O.M Mobile, or Maternity-On-The-Move Mobile, a 38-foot mobile clinic that will provide prenatal care to the uninsured all over Martin County. The $100,000 Grant will be pooled together with Martin County Board of County Commissioners’ seed support of $284,214 through ARPA funding.

Women will no longer wonder how they will get to their prenatal appointments, because now, we’re going to them.

Words cannot express our deepest gratitude to Impact100 Martin for choosing to make our big dreams a reality.

We as a coalition are also so thankful for our CEO, Samantha Suffich. Samantha dreams big, aims high, and goes above and beyond to support the moms and babies of Martin County.

It’s hard to believe that after 3 years our dreams are going to become a reality, and lack of transportation, insurance or childcare will no longer be an obstacle for our Martin County moms.

Now, let the work begin!
Our Community Baby Shower Was A Success!
Thank you to all the agencies and attendees that came to our first Community Baby Shower. We raffled items, ate, danced and connected our community to valuable resources!

Thank you St. Mary's Episcopal Church for celebrating our moms!
St. Mary's Episcopal Church put together beautiful gift bags for some of our Healthy Start moms in honor of Mother's Day. Thank you for thinking of us and showing our moms love on their special day!
Nurse Family Partnership April Graduation
Nurse Family Partnership is a home-visitation program that we offer to our first time moms. A LOT changes when you have a baby, and NFP helps to make that adjustment easier. Moms usually get enrolled around 28 weeks, and a nurse stays and works with both mom and baby until their baby turns 2 years old.

Here is Telindalee, one of our nurse home visitors, with Kimberly and her absolutely adorable baby girl Nihan who both graduated from the NFP program at the end of April!
IRSC Capstone Students Work With Healthy Start to Increase Awareness Within Our Community
3 students from Indian River State College who were finishing their Bachelor's in Business joined the Healthy Start team for 3 months. They helped us update our marketing materials, created gift bags for the baby shower and Rebecca even created a diaper jeep as a raffle item!

How you can help end diaper need
1 in 3 U.S. families experience diaper need.

We want to change that. Please visit our AmazonSmile charity list and consider donating if you feel led. We can never have enough wipes, size 5 and 6 diapers and size 3T-4T pull up!
