This Wednesday evening at 7 PM in the library.

Help Graduating Seniors with Graduation Expenses!

The Committee for Supporting Seniors will ensure all graduating seniors have the opportunity to fully participate in every aspect of the senior year experience regardless of cost. Senior families have previously paid approximately $250-$300 for senior dues, prom, yearbook, senior trip and the all night graduation celebration. We at Marshall believe every Senior student should be able to enjoy all of the perks of being a Senior regardless of their financial situation.

The GCM team will distribute funds as needed to help with these expenses (note that Senior dues are a requirement to graduate). We expect to assist 75+ seniors from the Class of 2024 and, to date, have provided 15 yearbooks and 19 prom tickets. The senior class trip will be the single most expensive event we subsidize at a cost of $100 per student.

We would love your support for this vital project. If you are inclined to donate to this important cause, there are several ways to contribute:

* Donate via via MemberHub

* Donate via Venmo - @GCMPTSA "Senior Support" in comments

If your Senior student needs support, please contact the GCM school social worker or their school counselor.

On behalf of the PTSA, our Marshall staff, and our most-deserving Marshall Seniors, thank you!

The Statesmen Theatre Boosters would like to extend a heartfelt thank you to our Theatre Director and Teacher, Bernie DeLeo, who is leaving Marshall at the end of the school year. Mr. DeLeo has poured his heart and soul into building a top-notch, award-winning theatre program at Marshall, directing a wide range of productions from children’s musicals and hard-hitting dramas to student-written one-act plays and radio shows. He wrapped up his final Statesmen Theatre production with the smash hit, sold-out show, Legally Blonde. We are eternally grateful for Mr. DeLeo’s dedication to our students and his continual focus on providing innumerable and invaluable opportunities for them to develop and showcase their talents on and off stage, inspiring and igniting a lifelong passion for theatre. It’s been a pleasure partnering with Mr. DeLeo to support this phenomenal program, and we wish him well in his next chapter as a STEAM teacher at Bailey’s Elementary School.

Please join us in extending a warm welcome to our incoming Director, Ahmad Maaty. Mr. Maaty is an alumnus of Marshall and has served as choreographer for numerous Statesmen Theatre and Marshall Choir productions. He is well-known locally as a dancer, actor, choreographer, and singer. Mr. Maaty holds an M.F.A from the Actors Studio Drama School in NYC. He received his B.A. in Theatre from George Mason University where he has also served as an Adjunct Professor for the School of Theater. Mr. Maaty has performed across the U.S. and internationally with performances and choreography recognized by the Helen Hayes, Youth American Grand Prix, Broadway World, the Cappies, the Brandon Victor Dixon Awards, and the Jimmys. Welcome, Mr. Maaty!

Baccalaureate - A Senior Reflection Night

At Marshall High School, the Baccalaureate service has been transformed into Senior Reflection Night. This is a special event that is open to all graduates who proudly wear their cap and gown to celebrate and reflect on their past four years. The non-denominational ceremony is a time for reflection, inspiration, and hope as we look back on the achievements of the past four years. It is a beautiful evening dedicated to honoring the accomplishments of all our seniors. After the ceremony, there will be a delightful reception hosted by the Freshman class, which will add an extra layer of warmth and celebration to this meaningful occasion for everyone involved. Families can connect, capture memories, and rejoice in their students’ accomplishments. We hope you will join us for this memorable event.

If you would like to volunteer to bring food or drinks to the event or help serve our senior families, please click the link below.
