The Worldly Marketer newsletter  -   December 2016 edition

Guest article on the Moravia Blog:

Marketing in Canada:
Officially Bilingual,
Proudly Multicultural

I was recently invited to write an article for the Moravia Blog on the topic of marketing to a Canadian audience. The Moravia Blog is one of my favourite translation and localization blogs, and I follow it very closely. So I was truly honoured and excited to be given a chance to contribute.

As a Canadian marketer, born and raised in Quebec and living in the Toronto area for the past two decades, I'm intimately familiar with both sides of Canada's linguistic duality. As the daughter of German immigrants, I also relate very strongly to the "immigrant experience" that underlies our modern Canadian identity.

Yes, I had a lot to write about. And yes, the article went a little long... But instead of asking me to trim it down, the good folks at Moravia decided to publish it in two parts. So here, for your reading pleasure, is part 1 of my article.

(Stay tuned for part 2, to be published soon!)
