Closing Chatham elevator bids

Corn and soybean futures were lower today, and wheat was mixed. Monday afternoon's US planting report showed corn at 27% complete and soybean planting was 18% complete, both ahead of 5 year average pace. Recent rains and forecasted rains will slow down progress. US weekly export inspections for corn was 48.26 mil bu, 40.07 is needed for the remaining weeks to reach the USDA's projection. Soybean inspections were 9.20 mil bu, with 12.68 needed weekly to meet USDA's projection. 17.68 mil bu for wheat, with 19.96 need weekly.
