Closing Chatham elevator bids

Corn and soybean futures move lower in today's trade, and not much change in wheat futures, slightly higher other than the spot May futures. Rain fell overnight in some dry areas of Iowa, Minnesota, and Missouri, weighing on corn and soybean futures. Weekly US export sales were within trade estimates for all 3 commodities, with soybean and corn sales reported slightly higher then weekly average needed to meet the USDA's export projection, at 17.85 mil bu for soybeans, and 19.73 for corn. Weekly average needed is 9.16 mil bu and 17.06 respectively. Wheat showed negative sales of 3.44 mil bu, the trade was expecting to see a negative number, 3.6 mil bu weekly average is needed to meet the USDA's projection.

Have a good night.
