Available very soon!

Two 'Cool Cabanas' will shortly be available to members and guests, to borrow. These will be available on a "first come" basis and will need to be signed out from the reception area.

Of course, all our usual beach equipment will still be available for you!

New outdoor ceiling fans have been installed on the BBQ deck above the outdoor pool. They look very stylish and they are also waterproof and weatherproof.

The new in-room wifi system is one step closer!

The first set of equipment has been installed, and the installation of the in-room access points will commence on Monday 13 March.

Once completed, every room will have its own in-room wifi access point.

While we really love the beach, don't forget that the beautiful rainforest trails are just 45 minutes away.

This is shot is from the top of the Twin Falls Circuit at Springbrook, looking back towards the resort on the coast.

The local birds are loving Todd's flowering plants beside the front driveway!

RESORT MANAGER'S REPORT

While the weather was a little unpredictable this past month, what wasn't unpredictable was the fun that everyone was having around the resort! We had just enough rain to fill the rainwater tanks and keep everything looking fresh and tidy, and not too much to keep everyone locked inside their rooms and unable to enjoy our beautiful area.

UPDATE - NEW IN-ROOM WI-FI

You will see from the photo above that the first set of equipment for the new in-room wi-fi system has already been installed. The next phase of installations will commence on 13 March and it is planned to be completed by Friday 17 March. Once complete, every room will have its own dedicated in-room wi-fi access point, providing fast, reliable, free wi-fi to our members and guests.

PROPOSED DEVELOPMENT AT 264/266 THE ESPLANADE

The development application was considered by the Gold Coast City Council at their meeting of Thursday 16 February. At the time of writing this newsletter, we are yet to hear of the outcome of their approval, or otherwise, of the development in its current format. Once we hear what is happening we will advise you.

RE-POSTED: MEMBER'S BOOKINGS IF YOU HAVE ALREADY USED YOUR ENTITLEMENT

Another reminder, for clarity, to our members that you have just two options to book if you have used all your entitlements and have no entitlements available:

  • Book and pay a member's tariff to rent the room, or
  • Pre-pay the next year's levy and access the upcoming year's entitlement to confirm your desired booking.

Please note that these are *not* new rules but have always been in place. Our team are being more vigilant however to ensure that all members are following the rules equitably.

KEEP YOUR DETAILS UP-TO-DATE WITH US!

If you change your email address, mobile phone number, home address, or all of the above, please tell us as soon as possible!

Our primary method of communication with our member's and guests is via email, so it is really important to let us know if this has changed. And of course, it is equally important to let us know if any of your other contact details have changed too.

Just send us an email to enquiries@marinershores.com.au and we will make the changes for you in our system.

OUTSTANDING LEVY RECOVERY IS UNDERWAY

As mentioned in previous newsletters, the list of outstanding levies has been passed to our debt recovery agent. They have commenced contacting those members with outstanding balances and making arrangements for payment.

While it is regrettable that we have to undertake this activity, it is also very important for the resort to ensure that all levies are paid, on behalf of all members of the club.

LIGHT RAIL - STAGE 3A

The latest report on the extension of the light rail from Broadbeach to Burleigh shows that in-ground investigations have been continuing, to confirm the location of electrical, telephony, and storm-water assets, and to commence relocating some of these. It appears that the completion date for the entire section will be some time in 2025.

Until I welcome you back to this wonderful resort.
