The WAWM RCS Department is hard at work organizing, planning and scheduling the upcoming summer season class lineup and we are SO excited for the fun that will be had.
The 2024 Summer Activity Guide will be available next month and resident registration will open on Monday, April 22.

GLOW-IN-THE-DARK EGG HUNT -
FOR 6TH-12TH GRADE

Ready, Set, HUNT! Who’s ready to find the golden eggs with the Easter Bunny this year? Come with your flashlights and get ready to hunt for the golden eggs! In addition to the traditional candy and toy filled eggs, a limited amount of golden eggs will be hidden as well. Golden eggs will be filled with opportunities to earn larger prizes such as gift certificates and more. Check in for the event begins at 7:30pm and the hunt begins at 8pm. Register prior to March 23rd and enter for a chance to win the grand prize!

The Easter Bunny has sent the WAWM RCS Department an S.O.S. and we are here to help! That is right, the WAWM RCS Department will help your family have its very own Easter egg hunt in your front yard. Egged begins Wednesday, March 27 and runs through Saturday, March 30. Pick the evening that you would like the WAWM RCS Department to hide the candy and toy-filled eggs in your front yard so the next morning your family can enjoy your very own Easter egg hunt! Who’s ready to go hunting for Easter eggs? Please enroll under the parent/guardian’s name.

MOTHER/DAUGHTER TEA PARTY -
FOR AGES 4+ WITH ADULT

Pick out your favorite party dress and enjoy a spot of tea with your favorite little lady. Tea time will be filled with sweets, snacks and finger sandwiches. Doesn’t that sound tasty? Spend quality time together and enjoy the musical stylings of the WAWM School District’s very own Shining Strings Orchestra along with other special guest appearances. Don’t be late for this very important date! This event is for any mother-figure or guardian with a child.

We want to share some exciting news with you! The WAWM RCS Adult Day Program (RAD) has created a cookbook compiled of all their favorite recipes made as a group. Starting in January, you can grab a copy of their cookbook at Café RAD.
Make sure you visit Café RAD and pick up your very own copy! They’re excited to share their favorite lunch recipes with you!
RAD Cookbook is available for $5 (cash only) while supplies last.

Stop by Café RAD, located inside the Recreation Center - 2450 S. 68th St. on Mondays & Wednesdays this MARCH. Our Recreational Adult Day Program (RAD) manages Café RAD, which helps provide them with real-world experiences. They'll learn math and communication skills, manage money and supplies, and teamwork. Café RAD is made possible through the support of our community.
REMINDER: NO CAFÉ RAD ON 3/25 & 3/27.
Stop by to enjoy a cup of coffee (hot or iced), a bottle of water or a delicious treat from Aggie's Bakery and help support Café RAD!

NEXTREX RECYCLING CHALLENGE

Our awesome friends at the WAWM RCS Recreational Adult Day Program - RAD is working hard to collect 1,000 lbs of plastic bags and film by September 2024. So far, they collected over 500 lbs!
Join RAD in reducing plastic waste in our environment by collecting plastic bags and plastic film. By helping them collect and dispose of 1,000 lbs of plastic, you can help reduce our impact in the environment and help RAD earn a beautiful bench for the Recreation Center Garden. Gather clean and dry plastic bags, bubble wrap, dry cleaning bags, and newspaper bags. Let's work together to create a more sustainable future.
