Read Across America/Dr. Seuss's Birthday

Storytimes at 11:30am & 3:30pm
Celebrate Read Across America - Dr. Seuss's Birthday, as we kick-off a week of F-U-N! We'll have Dr. Seuss storytime each day at 11:30am & 3:30pm and special crafts in the Artist Studio.
We will kick off Dr. Seuss week in the museum on Saturday, March 2nd. Join us as we make Oobleck on the Gathering Place deck at 2pm and we'll read Bartholomew and the Oobleck!

Tinker Tuesday
Every Tuesday from 2pm-4pm in the Artist Studio
Join us for Tinker Tuesdays, our pop-up makerspace! This creative and interactive environment is designed to inspire and encourage young minds to explore, experiment, and learn through hands-on activities. Equipped with a variety of materials and resources, Tinker Tuesday will empower children to engage in activities related to S.T.E.A.M. in a playful and imaginative manner!

Sensory Sundays

Children on the autism spectrum and their families can visit the museum during Sensory Friendly Days, the second Sunday of each month from 10am – 12pm. They will have the opportunity to have a fun, enjoyable and interactive learning experience in a comfortable and accepting environment! This exclusive free event includes modifications of a less crowded environment and light and sound reduction. Sensory Sunday is sponsored in part by the Civic League of Gulfport.

Homeschool at LMDC

Storytimes, special art projects and science activities are examples of Discovery Days. Saturday Spark are activities that spark Learning, Discovery, Creativity and Imagination in children.
