Could Our Latest Discovery Be the Answer to Pyroluria
and Phenol Sensitivity?
Let's cut to the chase and tell you that you'll want to listen to the March webinar to find out! This is what you'll want to know prior to listening: MAO-A is a vulnerable enzyme to many things that will inhibit its activity: stress, high estrogen, lipid peroxidation, high phenols, heavy metals, high amounts of fat soluble vitamins A, D, E, K. All of these inhibitors of MAO-A activity are cleared from the body by the glucuronidation or phenol-sulfur transferase detoxifying pathways. The majority of people with ASD have decreased activity of these detoxifying pathways. This results in a build-up of these things that will inhibit MAO-A activity.
The enzymes needed for glucuronidation and phenol-sulfur detoxification are glucuronosyltransferase and phenol-sulfur transferase respectively. Elaine has recently learned how to mimic these enzymes using homeopathy. The results have been significant in that, children that couldn’t tolerate foods high in phenols can now tolerate them and the effects of the Respen-A have increased. Parents are finding that since using the homeopathic discs to increase these detoxifying pathways, their children are needing less and less of the Respen-A.
So why is this? Remember that Respen-A is a homeopathic dilution of reserpine, which has been shown to double the activity of MAO-A. So as the detoxifying pathways start clearing the build-up of things that can inhibit MAO-A activity, more MAO-A is freed up. As the MAO-A activity increases, less of the Respen-A is needed.
If you are interested in trying the glucuronosyltransferase and phenol-sulfur transferase discs, they can be ordered by sending an email to info@respen-a.com.
Further information regarding these enzymes and how Elaine is using them homeopathically can be found by listening to the March Webinar:

My son, Kyle, has been a unique delight since he was born. As soon as the nurses received him from the doctor following his birth, the room was filled with oohs and aahs and their comments about how handsome he was! This didn't happen with the birth of his older brother, so of course I was flattered.
I am not boasting when I say that Kyle was smart as a whip from his moment of birth- he had those nurses wrapped around his tiny finger! He would look at us with knowing eyes, as if he could see straight through us and into our minds with a penetrating intelligence that seemed far beyond his youth. The first time we brought him to church an elderly lady who'd been a school teacher asked to hold him. Once our baby was in her arms she looked up at us and declared (prophetically, it seemed) that he would be an engineer.
Kyle was a very independent baby. I remember him climbing out of his crib before he was one year-old, which seems incomprehensible to me now. He wasn't one to love snuggles- until he wanted one. At that point he would climb into my lap for a hug, then, within moments, push away to seek new interests. He used to find something that he thought was special, crawl over to me and open my hand, place the item in my palm and curl my fingers back over it, look me in the eye then crawl away.
As Kyle grew, so did his skills, talents, and wisdom. He would gather items I'd thrown into the garbage and create incredible gadgets out of them. He's had a gift for drawing since he could hold a crayon. He is self-driven with home school and rarely needs help. In fact, his older brother often benefits from his guidance. He is now, at age 14, Senior Patrol Leader of his scout troop. He seems a golden child; he is ALWAYS finding money, ALWAYS winning raffles, ALWAYS observant and helpful where others disappoint.
So you can imagine my worry when, a year ago, he presented with symptoms of anxiety. I didn't recognize it at first. He'd 'want to talk with' me at day's end about innocent topics like, 'should' he buy comics at the Comics Arcade. Only the talk would go on and on and on: should he sell some comics to the owner, if he kept only wanting to sell comics then the owner wouldn't like him or wouldn't want to buy from him anymore or would think he was wishy-washy, etc., and maybe he shouldn't spend his money but maybe he should save it, should he go into town on Saturday to go to the comic shop or should he stay home? The questions were endless. He'd say, "I just have one more question" and that line of reasoning would go on for another 30 minutes till I'd say, "You've already asked that question" and he'd respond, "No, I'm asking it in a different way". Finally, I'd end it because 10:30 p.m. was now extending to 11:30 p.m., the questions kept heading down a rabbit trail, and I was exhausted and wanted to go to sleep.
Night after night Kyle would start a new topic or revisit an old one. It finally dawned on me that my son was experiencing anxiety. In retrospect I could've saved both of us many weeks of stress by recognizing the signs, but I'd never had personal experience with anyone suffering from it. Fortunately, I knew how to solve the problem because I had Respen-A
™
on hand- it also works for Bipolar disorder, ADD, ADHD and depression. Kyle was anxiety-free on day one of use!
The only hiccups I've experienced since are Kyle's complaints that he doesn't have anxiety and that he doesn't want to be on Respen-A
™
for the rest of his life. He assures me that he is just fine and that he doesn't need to use it. Every time he puts it to the test by going without, he wants to have a looooooooooooong discussion with me at the end of the day. With Respen-A
™
this doesn't happen, which is a huge relief. We wouldn't want him to be an anxious engineer!
I am very grateful to Elaine for her development of the Respen-A
™
disc, and for her continued research that helps our kids to further wellness!
Sincerely, Kerri McCormick

Question of the Month...From US to You!
Did you know that 5-HTP can help with sleep?
5-Hydroxytryptophan, also known as oxitriptan, is a naturally occurring amino acid and chemical precursor as well as a metabolic intermediate in the biosynthesis of the neurotransmitter serotonin. Serotonin produces melatonin, which helps us sleep!
Some people have trouble producing 5-HTP because of either not eating enough meat, or having trouble converting the L-tryptophan in the meat to 5-HTP. You'll then need to build up the serotonin with 5-HTP at 100 mg 4 times per day. This should be done during daylight hours. The conversion of the serotonin to melatonin happens after the sun goes down...so it's key to have enough serotonin to make enough melatonin to give you a full night's sleep.
Beware NOT to use sustained release 5-HTP, which happens to be the brand sold at Costco.
Also, purchase a brand that is clean, with no other vitamins added.
Also, inositol at 500 -730 mg daily (dissolves in water and tastes slightly sweet...drink all at once 15 minutes after putting on the Respen-A
™
disc) or gluten, is needed to release the serotonin into the nerve junctions so that it can be utilized by the body and converted in melatonin.
Finally, you'll need to keep up with the turnover of serotonin caused by the Respen-A
™ .
And, you have to eat enough gluten to release the serotonin into the nerve synapse to keep up with the turnover- supplementing with inositol eliminates this worry.
You've got to have a balance of serotonin production, serotonin release, and serotonin turnover. Otherwise you'll end up with a buildup of serotonin, which shuts systems down, or a depletion of serotonin, which creates the same symptoms.
It takes a little bit of trial and error to get the equation balanced, so please be in contact with us if you see a return of symptoms, or no improvement, and we will help you to determine what is missing.
