Exciting News Alert!

We're thrilled to present an incredible opportunity to enhance your impact on Avondale House. A generous anonymous donor has committed to matching $400,000 of gifts received between today and September 2024. However, we must first raise $400,000 ourselves during this period to receive this generous match. Your contribution is vital in helping us achieve this target and effectively double the support we can extend to those in need of our services!

This means that every contribution you make will have double the impact, allowing us to make an even greater difference in the lives of those we serve. Together, we can unlock the full potential of this matching challenge and maximize our impact on our community.

Join us on this journey as we work towards our goal and create meaningful change together! Your support means the world to us, and we can't wait to see the incredible impact we'll achieve together. Let's make every dollar count!

Corporate Spotlight

Thank you to Cadence Bank for hosting Valentine's Day donation drives for Avondale House at their different branches. So many incredible goodies were donated for our program participants to enjoy! We are so grateful for their amazing support of us.

Thanks so much to the Houston Burns & McDonnell office for choosing Avondale House to be the sole beneficiary of their 2024 Charity of Choice campaign! The campaign, named Together We Thrive, consists of Burns & McDonnell fundraising and raising awareness for their choice charity from March 18 - April 12 through several fun events. 100% of proceeds go to Avondale House, and we are so thankful!

We had a lovely time attending the campaign kick-off event earlier this week, where our Board Member and parent, Ann Turnbach, joined us to speak and share her heartwarming story. We can’t wait for the rest of the campaign!

Volunteer Spotlight

We were delighted to welcome the Houston Methodist Volunteer Services Department to Avondale House! They spent the morning with our adult day program participants last week. We had such a great time playing Bingo and making new friends!

We also welcomed back Pros to spend the afternoon with our participants, playing Bingo and making appreciation cards for our amazing Direct Support Professionals. It's always such a joy to have groups spend the day with us!
