Buchholz Promoted to Vice President Consumer Banking

New London, WI – First State Bank announces the promotion of Megan Buchholz to vice president consumer banking. Buchholz joined First State Bank as a personal banker/teller in 2018 and was promoted to New London branch manager later that year. In her new role, she will be responsible for consumer banking and mortgage lending across First State Bank’s eight locations.

“Megan is one of our up-and-coming leaders who is dedicated to helping our customers and employees succeed,” commented Jason Wery, EVP chief banking officer. “Through her positivity and can-do attitude, Megan inspires her team to provide the best service possible and continuously look for ways to improve our banking processes.”

Buchholz is active in the community serving on the board of directors for the Washington Center Community Cupboard and New London Area Chamber of Commerce, and regularly volunteers for area events. A resident of Weyauwega, Buchholz is also secretary of the White Lake Aeration Conservation Club. In addition to her many hobbies—cooking, baking, gardening, crafting, and home improvement projects—she is also an artist and has painted two of the murals in New London initiated by the Wolf River Art League.

“I thoroughly enjoy being involved in our communities and am grateful that First State Bank encourages and supports our employees in these efforts. I look forward to continuing to serve in my new role,” said Buchholz.
