We are finally back from our annual buying trip at the Tucson International Gem, Mineral & Fossil Show and what a trip it was! We brought back more new inventory than ever before.
 Quartz seemed to be the star of the show this year and you won't believe what all we brought back, truly something for everyone. For the next few weeks we will be sharing pictures on our social media of treasures we saw while shopping in Tucson and some sneak peeks of inventory being processed for the Truck Show. We also heard that more of you wanted Nature's Treasures sponsored educational events. Well, because of your input, we have put together a two day Tarot & Oracle Exposition to be held next month on April 14th & 15th. The event will feature product vendors, seminars, lectures, readers, deck illustrators and designers and a whole host of fun activities. Check it out online for more details and reserve your lecture seats before they fill up.
March brings spring cleaning in our homes, offices and our personal lives. If you plan ahead a little and slowly start now it won't be as painful when the time comes to let go. With Mercury going retrograde for the first time this year, it may feel a little more chaotic than usual and we'll probably all be glad when April arrives. So, stay alert, ~breath~ and roll with the surprises. Remember it's just life helping us learn our lessons so we can grow.

This month it is an El Sueco from Chihuahua, Mexico. This small nodule show extreme parallax, commonly called shadow effect. This is very desirable feature to collectors of banded agates.
Notes on Agates:
Silica is the key component to agate formation since it belongs to the quartz family made up of SiO2. Because of their beauty and durability, agates have been used since the Neolithic as tools, jewelry, tableware and decor for thousands of years. Although agate has been used for ages, new world agates have only been mined recently and many varieties are mined out.

Sarah
A rock collector from an early age, Sarah feels right at home among Nature's Treasures gemstones. She loves living out in the country with her sweet husband and clowder of cats. Her interests include all things nature related: plants, animals, people, and rocks. She spends her free time wandering around outdoors, cooking, roller skating and whiffling kitten bellies.
