Dear Partner in Ministry,

One of our students told me recently that they never expected to find a community like LECM when they moved to Greeley, a group of students and young people rooted in God's unconditional love, a community of faith that celebrates the wholeness of all people and all identities. Our commitments as an open and affirming Reconciling in Christ ministry are central to who are at LECM and how we bear witness to God's grace in this place.

This winter we've been exploring the theme of "Created Whole," which comes from this year's Reconciling in Christ Sunday worship from Reconciling Works. Looking at questions of gender, creation, racial justice, and identity, we have been grounded in the affirmation that we are fearfully and wonderfully made, created whole and for wholeness in the world God so loves. As we come to the middle of the semester, I am grateful for the questions and conversations among our students, and for all of you who support this ministry and community, thank you!

Grace and peace,
Pr. Monica
WHAT'S HAPPENING @LECM
Winter Retreat
We joined up with the Lutheran Campus Ministries from CU and CSU for a retreat weekend in Winter Park. We did crafts, cross-country skied, cooked, and worshipped together. Our students really enjoyed meeting and spending time with folks from the other campuses!
Campus Ministry Sunday
In February, we had five students go out to our partner congregations and preach on Matthew 5:13-20 ("You are the salt of the earth...you are the light of the world"). All five students had amazing experiences with those congregations and felt their love and support while preaching. Thank you to all the congregations that hosted our student preachers!

LECM has been such a welcoming place for me, everyone is so loving and kind. They keep me accountable and show the love of Christ through their actions! I appreciate the dinners we get on Sundays. As a college student it is so nice to get a delicious home cooked meal at the start of the new week. I am so blessed to be involved in LECM!
