We believe in the astonishing power of food, and it seems we are not alone. "The idea of food as medicine is not only an idea whose time has come,” says Dr. Dariush Mozaffarian, a cardiologist and the dean of the  Gerald J. and Dorothy R. Friedman School of Nutrition Science and Policy  at  Tufts University . “It’s an idea that’s absolutely essential to our health care system.”

We recently spoke with Time Magazine about 'food is medicine' and the partnerships with have with  h ealthcare organizations, like  Blue Cross Blue Shield of Massachusetts , to provide medically tailored meals to patients with critical and chronic illnesses. Research shows that Community Servings' meals result in a 16% decrease in healthcare costs for some of the most sick and costly patients.
