TRANSPORTATION + PLANNING

City of Tampa M.O.V.E.S. on transportation plans The next step in the City of Tampa’s transportation planning efforts is the Tampa M.O.V.E.S program, which started a series of neighborhood meetings in February, and includes Westshore neighborhoods on March 31. M.O.V.E.S. (mobility, opportunity, vision, equity, safety) will outline the next 30 years of Tampa transportation objectives. It is based on the recommendations by Tampa Mayor Jane Castor’s Transportation Advisory Team in 2019. To see the meeting schedule and participate in surveys, visit TpaMOVES.org.

The Tampa Bay Bike Challenge returns for Bike Month in March Have you spent part of the last few months pedaling the streets or a fancy exercise bike? Then sign up for the Tampa Bay Bike Challenge! This is an annual competition between workplaces to see who can earn the most points for riding and encouraging others during March. Participants earn points for riding their bikes (inside or outside) and encouraging family, friends, and co-workers to join in. Points count towards their workplace’s total and helps them earn individual and team prizes. Visit Love To Ride Tampa Bay for more information.
